Review
We go through the facility's construction, material, operational history and any previous deviations before starting the inspection.
Regular inspection identifies risks in time, extends lifespan and provides a basis for the right maintenance decisions.
A silo is continuously exposed to load, wear, moisture and vibrations. Without regular inspection, damage to construction, inlets/outlets, seals or safety systems can grow into costly problems. Silo Service performs structured inspections that give you a clear picture of the facility's condition.
We document everything in an inspection report with observations, photography and recommended actions – a basis you can use for maintenance decisions, insurance and service agreements.
We deliver a written report with observations, risk assessment and recommended actions. The report is an important basis for service agreements, insurance and long-term planning of maintenance.
With a service agreement the inspections are planned continuously – you don't need to keep track of when the next check should take place. We adapt the agreement to your facility, number of silos and operation. The service agreement can also include cleaning and maintenance in the same arrangement.
How the inspection is done
A silo inspection is planned based on silo type, material, access level and operational situation. The goal is to give a clear picture of condition, risks and what should be addressed.
We go through the facility's construction, material, operational history and any previous deviations before starting the inspection.
Interior and exterior review is carried out methodically – construction, inlets/outlets, fall protection, coatings and safety systems are checked.
Deviations are photographed and summarised in an inspection report with observations, risk assessment and recommended actions.
The report serves as a basis for decisions. When needed we plan actions immediately or include them in a service agreement.
Recommended is at least one full inspection per year, supplemented with simpler checks quarterly or biannually depending on silo type, material and load. Heavily used silos or those with sensitive materials may need more frequent inspection.
The report contains observations from interior and exterior inspection, documentation of any damage, coatings, rust or wear, and recommendations for actions and follow-up. Photo documentation is always included.
